Overview:
The SLC Showcase Arts Festival is an all-day, celebration of local art and music, uniting the creative community of Salt Lake City. Hosted in the heart of downtown at Gallivan Center and Good Grammar Bar, this event promises a fusion of artistic expression and musical talent, shining a spotlight on the exceptional talent we have right here in our own backyard.
Competitions:
The SLC Showcase is a monthly competition of music artists, all competing to win free studio time. This event will triple down on that with 3 separate competitions, each with a different grand prize.
Solo Artist Competition: 12 solo artists will compete for recording studio time, and a professionally produced music video.
Band Competition: 6 Utah bands will play in a battle of the bands style competition, each with 30 minutes to woo the crowd and get the most votes in order to win a headlining show at Good Grammar.
Artistic Competition: Eight local artists will compete for art supplies and a cash prize by painting on an 8 x 8 ft canvas. With only six hours to create, contestants will unleash their creativity, producing captivating works of art that reflect the spirit of Salt Lake City.
Audience Participation:
Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite musicians and artists, ensuring that the winners truly reflect the preferences of the local community.
Vendors and Sponsors:
The event will feature a diverse array of vendors and sponsors, providing opportunities for local businesses to showcase their products and services. Their contributions will not only enhance the festival experience but also be the local food element to compliment the local musicians, artists, and vendors.
